Volunteering with ROSSS has been tremendously rewarding. I’m helping people stay in their own homes and retain a connection with others.
My driver was so very nice. He helped me all the way into my home and was so mindful of my safety on the entire trip.
In 2013, I started volunteering with ROSSS delivering Meals on Wheels, and now I’m a driver. I was inspired to give back to my community by the nurses who took care of my husband with cancer. I see my neighbours making new friends and bonds on our bus trips. I see their faces light up on mystery tours. I watch seniors and high school students learning from each other. It’s a special privilege to see first hand how ROSSS is changing lives.
I check my ROSSS calendar everyday to see what programs are happening.
