Transportation Services

Transportation is a necessity and a particular challenge for those living in rural areas.

ROSSS offers transportation services for medical appointments, as well as personal, social, and basic shopping trips. During periods of high demand, priority is given to medical appointments. Wheelchair-accessible transportation is also available.

Our screened and trained volunteer and staff drivers are committed to providing safe, supportive transportation. When required, we offer door-through-door assistance, helping clients from their home to their destination and, where appropriate, accompanying them into the building or to the specific clinic, department, or hospital ward where their appointment is located.

Are You Eligible?

Services are available to seniors 55+, and adults with disabilities. Clients must be able to transfer into a vehicle safely and independently, or with minimal assistance (such as an arm for stability). Our drivers are not equipped or trained to provide weight-bearing support and are not permitted to lift or transfer clients.

Please note: This service is dependent on driver and vehicle availability. Requests for transportation must be made a minimum of 7 days in advance to allow us the opportunity to accommodate your drive. ROSSS is not an emergency transportation service provider.

Note that all new clients must undergo a telephone assessment prior to receiving transportation services.
